[Abstract]

Objective:To study the correlation between the expression of COX-2 and VEGF-C in colon cancer.Methods:Total of 56 colon cancer samples were tested by immunohistochemical method for VEGF-C,COX-2.The correlations of VEGF-C and COX-2 were analyzed.Colon cancer cell HCT116 was stimulated with PMA and PMA+celecib,the changes of expression of VEGF-C were detected.Results:The positive rate of COX-2 was 78.6%,VEGF-C was 65.9%.VEGF-C expression in COX-2 positive group was higher significantly than that in COX-2 negative group.Furthermore,the expression of COX-2 was consistent with the expression of VEGF-C.The expression of VEGF-C mRNA in HCT116 was affected by COX-2.Conclusion:COX-2 can induce the expression of VEGF-C in colon cancer and promote the metastasis of colon cancer.
